REPORTS FROM PREVIOUS EVENTS
Monday 15th April 2013
My goodness, I really thought I followed a sensible and healthy diet! I do eat sensible and healthy foods, but I never realised how what I choose to eat and when could affect my general well-being so much. I know all the ladies present felt the same.
After listening to nutritional therapist, Karin Elagar, with her top 5 tips to relieve stress and boost energy, it was seriously like a light bulb had been switched on. Karin really knows her stuff and she was generous with her knowledge and insight into diet and nutrition, and happily answered many questions from the ladies. Read what some of them had to say below….
“….just wanted to say thank you for Monday’s meeting – I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was lovely to meet you and the other ladies. I found the session really informal and relaxed which was great and the session from Karin was really interesting. I can certainly see the benefits of the group and will be recommending it to the Tangerine PR team.”
“This is my 3rd meeting with Cherchez and every meeting has been informative, interesting and friendly - so much so that I’ve decided to join and I’m looking forward to our next meeting. Thanks Helen.”
“The group was friendly and welcoming, and Karin’s presentation was first-rate – interesting and entertaining with something that everyone could take away and use to improve their own and their family’s nutrition. I will certainly be putting future events in my diary!”
“Interesting talk from Karin – learnt some important things to improve my diet! Nice informal environment for networking and support.”
11th February 2013
This month we were joined by Lynne Cramb MCIPP(dip), Payroll Director at DTE Business Advisors, who addressed the issue ‘Real Time Information – Are you ready?’.
Lynne informed the ladies that HMRC are introducing a new way of reporting PAYE called RTI (Real Time Information). From April 2013 employers will be legally required to report employee earnings in real time. This means that information about all PAYE payments needs to be submitted online to HMRC as part of the payroll process each time a payment is made to employees, replacing the Employers’ Annual Return submitted at year end.
It was a very interesting and lively discussion with many, many questions! I’m hoping that the ladies present all went away a little wiser about the subject. I know that Christine Lewis from No Limits certainly went away happier. Not only did she learn a lot from the session, she also won the bottle of fizz in the business card draw!!
“Very interesting and informative presentation from Lynne Cramb”
“Enjoyable and useful afternoon. Lovely atmosphere and great format. Will definitely come again”
“Loved the meeting. Great people. Relaxed atmosphere. Great information. Learned loads”
“Enjoyed meeting people. RTI talk very interesting. Look forward to next meeting”.
10th December 2012
“Mary’s event was brilliant. So engaging. The best workshop I have been to in years!”
Just one of the fab comments from our meeting where Mary Murtagh was our guest presenter. Boy oh boy, Mary can certainly pack a ton of information into half an hour!!
She began by asking each delegate about their business and immediately identified a news-worthy story in each of them. As she then continued with her condensed “masterclass” for writing a killer press release, there was frantic scribbling all around the table and plenty of time for Q&A along the way. The session certainly brought out the entrepreneurial spirit in all of us and I for one am looking forward to reading some great stories in the press in the coming weeks and months from our Cherchez ladies!
We rounded off our session with the business card draw which saw Mary take home a well-deserved bottle of fizz, and Aisha Ahmed from Sale Dental Spa win an evening for 10 people in one of the private booths at the Genting Club in January!
In addition to all of that, each delegate received vouchers for special offers at the venue too, including 2 for 1 in the restaurant during January. YUM YUM!!
And Finally…………… we have another two new members which is always good news!
9th & 16th March 2012
WOW - we were thoroughly spoiled this month at Selfridges. Kate Dagnall and her colleagues at Clinique were absolutely lovely and they pampered our ladies throughout the lunchtime as well as giving expert advice on skincare and make-up techniques.
All our ladies were greeted with a choice of cold drinks and treated to a superb platter of mini rolls, wraps and scrumptious cakes throughout each session.
Everyone loved their goody bag full of Clinique treats and the lucky winners of our Business Card Draws were Sue Bailey and Emily Thomas who each walked away with the Clinique gift bag full of stunning products.
Take a look here to view a selection of photos from the event - expertly taken by Sue Southern from Ithaca Photography with HUGE thanks.
The feedback below speaks for itself…………

20th January 2012
What a lovely time we had at Holiday Inn Express, Oxford Rd, thanks to Jacki Beardmore and her colleagues. A big thank you too to Rachael Ireland at Tangerine PR for putting us all in touch and making Cherchez 20.01.2012 happen. It was a great start to the New Year.
On the day we were welcomed with tea, coffee, water and juice and then enjoyed tucking into a variety of delicious sandwiches and warm entrées. There was a great mix of ladies who are regular Cherchez-goers and some new faces too.
Jo Booth led the session by inviting members to volunteer marketing issues they were experiencing to the group. As a team everyone pulled together to make achievable suggestions and resolve the issues. The energy levels and support offered were very encouraging. The talk was informal and comfortable, each person offering their own techniques and advice. It provoked some very interesting questions and conversation.
In the business card draw, Sylvia Gautier won a complimentary night’s stay (including breakfast) at the hotel and Caroline Cowan walked away with a bottle of fizz for the weekend. Overall we had a great networking session and a lovely support network is developing which we hope will continue at future Cherchez meetings.
